Match Your Gift to Cancer at Weston
An anonymous donor has generously offered to match all gifts (up to $300,000) to support Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital's Maroone Cancer Center. These gifts will enable the Maroone Cancer Center to grow and expand in patient care, research, and education.
In the donor's own words, "We need you. I will match every donation so that one day, together we can say Cancer is no longer a terminal disease but…a chronic disease."

What Your Gift Supports:
- Patient Services address the emotional, psycho-social and financial needs of our patients and compliment the exceptional cancer care delivered by the Cancer Center. Services such as yoga, massage therapy, art therapy, music therapy, meditation, psychological services, support groups, and more help soothe the mind and the spirit to reduce emotional distress and improve the quality of life during treatment.
- The Patient Navigator Program assists patients throughout the entire cancer journey, helping them through the diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care and any obstacles that may arise along the way. Each patient has a dedicated patient navigator who will work directly with physicians and other members of the patient care team to develop and implement a treatment plan that needs the needs of individual patients and their families. Our current program consists of four navigators, and with the support of additional philanthropy, the program will grow to eight.
- Phase 1 Clinical Trials are the first stage of testing a new drug or treatment in patients, primarily focused on assessing its safety, dosage range, and potential side effects. It's crucial for a cancer center to offer these trials because they give patients early access to leading-edge therapies that may not be available elsewhere. Philanthropy will enable the Maroone Cancer Center to conduct Phase 1 trials and contribute to the advancement of cancer research and innovative treatment options.
- Education is paramount to the Maroone Cancer Center. Advances made at Cleveland Clinic inform the way patients are treated across the country and around the word. Education extends the Clinic’s unique model of care and training beyond our walls to benefit cardiac patients across the country and the world. With the support of philanthropy, our team will expand our education program and provide more fellowship opportunities.
